Here we are on the last day of the writing challenge. I will write one more post tomorrow that will wrap everything up but, let's get into today's topic: My vinyl haul from today!
So, I tried my best to try to write something more technical or tech related since most of my blogs here lately have all been watercooler style posts but, I was too excited about this so I wanted to write about it. I founf out that walmart was running a sale on vinly. All their vinyl was $15 a piece. At that price, I had to at least get a few right? Well, I may have gotten a few more than that. Here is the haul I cam away with when all was said and done.
Nothing but the Best (Frank Sinatra)
I saw this and I had to get it. So many good Sinatra songs on here (looking at you "My Way"). This was a walmart limited edition. The viny was blue (disc 1) and clear (disk 2). Though the sticker on the front made it look like it was going to be blue and white.
Welcome to the Black Parade (My Chemical Romance)
Another one of Walmart's limited edition vinyl. It's grey and not mcuh to look at sadly. The second disk does have some cool art on it though so that's a plus. This was another case of the sticker made looking different than the actual product. I know it's hard to produce vinyl the same way every time but, this was literally grey and the sticker showed something a bit different. It's not a huge deal though. The slip looks cool.
Californication (Red Hot Chili Peppers)
This was was a Walmart limited edition as well. It came with a yellow and purple (even though it looks blue in the above picture) vinyl and they looked awesome. Plus, I love this album so it's cool to have on vinyl.
Greatest Hits (Guns n Roses)
Not really much to say here. It's a GnR greatest hits.
Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park)
So many memories of this album from my youth. I love Linkin Park and it's nice to be able to have this on vinyl. The vinyl is a translucent red.
Greatest Hits (The Offspring)
Another favorite band from my youth. This has a wide variety of Offspring songs spanning a good chunk of their albums. It's just a plain black vinyl.
The Essential Foo Fighters (Foo Fighters)
Another greatest hits album. Much like The Offspring album, it covers a wide spectrum in the bands long history. This is also a black vinyl.
Metallica [The Black Album] (Metallica)
This is a limited edition Walmart vinyl. It says that it is supposed to be "black marble" but unless you really get in there and look at it, it just looks like a regular black vinyl. This album is pretty sick. One of my favorites.
Vicennial: 2 Decades of Seether (Seether)
Limited edition greatest hits from Seether. The vinyl is a translucent orange color (the sticker called it "gasoline orange".
...And Justic for All (Metallica)
This was probably one of the first Metallica albums I remember listening to. Limited edition green translucent vinyl. One of my favorites from the haul today.
Musical Version of War of the Worlds (Jeff Wayne)
This is the album I am the most excited to own now. This album is KILLER and to be able to have it on vinyl makes me happy. Plain black vinyl.
Well, that's it for today. I will be making a conclusion post tomorrow at some point. Sorry if this wasn't the most interesting topic of the series. I had a lot to do today and I could not think of a topic to save my life.

You've never listened to vinyl? You're missing a lot, man, because it's not just music on a vinyl, it's music culture, and the quality of music is many times better than CDs and even more so than online platforms. But btw, a lot also depends on the vinyl record players, and there are some good articles about them here. I think you'll be interested in checking out at least a couple of them.
Is the sound of vinyl records really different from the sound of, say, CDs or some online apps and platforms?
