How to set up a proxy for the Opera browser – step-by-step instructions

Many tasks on the Internet require the use of a proxy server. For example, you can use it to see what the search results look like for users from another region or country.
At first thought, setting up a proxy for Opera may seem like a difficult task for an ordinary user. But in fact, it's no more difficult than installing new wallpapers on your computer's desktop.
There are no settings in the Opera browser itself that allow you to install a proxy inside the browser. For a certain period, it uses the settings of your operating system, and we will figure out how to deal with that in the article.

Registration and balance replenishment:

1. Register on the 2Captcha service: https://2captcha.com/
2. Log in to your personal account.

1. Open the Opera settings, for that:

2. Go to the "Advanced" section (on the main screen, scroll down and click on the "Advanced" button):

• Click on the Advanced button in the left menu.
• Choose the System in the submenu.

3. Turn on the manual proxy mode:

• In the section System select Open the proxy server settings for the computer and click on it.

4. Enter the proxy data:
• In the HTTP proxy field, enter the host from the list received on 2Captcha.
• In the field Port enter the port from the list received on 2Captcha.

5. Save the settings:
• Click on the Save button.

6. Enter your login and password (if required):

• When you connect to a site for the first time, you will be prompted to enter your login and password.
• You will find them in the list received on 2Captcha.

IP verification:
Now you just need to check the proxy's performance – type "My IP" in the search engine and go to any IP address checker, and the system will show you which IP address you have installed. If it does not match the one you selected at the stage of buying the proxy, check all the settings again step by step, and if everything is correct, message the tech support of 2Captcha.
