This week was a big win for me, finally launched my new product: Speakbox, a mental health collaborative care platform.
Speakbox is an idea coming from my co-founder, Aidan Scott. The idea is to democratize mental health: offer as much support day-to-day, foster mental health literacy and give better access to mental health services.
Speakbox is free and will remain free forever, as we believe that mental health assistance isn't a commodity; it is a fundamental right.
After 6 month of intense development, we finally launched Speakbox both on iOS and Android.
Speakbox has two main goals: Self-Management and Collaborative Care.
Self-Management
Speakbox offers a way to manage your mental health on a day-to-day basis with three main features:
Explore
In this section, you can discover new research-driven activities to contribute to the three pillars of mental health and health in general: Mind, Body and Social.
Goals
Speakbox will guide you through the steps of creating a S.M.A.R.T goal: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Rewarding and Timely. These types of goals are essential to successfully reach your targets and improve your mental health in the process.
Journal
Record your emotions right when you experience them; write a quick description of what triggered this emotion. You can then reflect upon them and have a clearer picture of the spectrum of emotions you experience day-to-day and how they balance each other.
Collaborative Care
Speakbox will also allow you, should you need it, to connect with your counsellor or therapist via the application and share your day-to-day goal progress or journal entries with them. They will also be able to share session notes with you, and you can give them feedback directly through the application to improve the quality of your sessions over time.
We would love to hear your feedback. If you decide to give the app a try, please reach out to Speakbox or myself.
