Enthusiastically. I’ve been a hiring manager before, and I’ve had candidates bomb an interview, then show me their pet projects the day after via email, only to impress me and get the job anyway.
A good engineering manager should want someone who demonstrates capability and enthusiasm. They want to know that the person can “do the job.” Keep in mind that being able to program isn’t enough; being able to show that you know how to solve problems with code is more important than even the most elegant FizzBuzz.
Showcase your projects, link to your GitHub from your resume or CV. Put it in your LinkedIn profile and participate in the README project.
